The GFC Foundation was officially recognized by Premier Cho Jung-tai during the "Thank You: Light Up Our Life" ceremony on the 26th January. The event honored those who contributed to the post-disaster reconstruction of the Matai’an River barrier lake in Hualien.

Alongside four other major foundations (Cathay Life, Mizuho Bank, Chunghwa Telecom, and Foxconn), GFC Foundation was praised for its commitment to educational investment. Premier Cho remarked that "investing in the next generation is investing in the country's future," pledging continued government support to help Taiwan's youth transition from local disaster relief "Shovel Supermen" into global seeds of hope.
