Today, the "Service Robot Hotel Accommodation Application Demonstration Team Launch Conference" was held by the Institute for Information Industry(III). The event showcased the achievements of two robot teams integrating smart elevator services. Starting from March 2023, the application and verification of these robots will be gradually implemented in 11 hotels across northern, central, and southern Taiwan. The robots will be equipped with functions such as elevator operation, disinfection, welcoming guests, and delivering items to rooms, enabling hotel industry personnel to focus more on value-creating activities. The event invited robot and system integration companies such as Wistron ITS, BQ Technology, Asia Optical, Taiwan Microsoft, NVIDIA, as well as elevator companies like GFC, to reveal the goals, plans, and schedule for the deployment of service robots in the hotel industry.
