However, in the second round, they lost to Japan, while South Korea triumphed over Japan. With the top three teams closely matched, the Chinese Taipei and Japan teams secured their spots in the final based on their quality of performance.

In the championship game on September 8, the Chinese Taipei team gave their all and defeated Japan 6-1 at Tianmu Baseball Stadium, claiming the championship for Taiwan. This victory marked their third title in team history and their first in 17 years.

At the same time, Taiwan's national baseball team has moved up to third place in the WBSC rankings, surpassing the United States due to their strong performance across various levels of competition. Japan remains firmly in first place, with Mexico in second.
