GFC has been supporting the World Vision “Basketball Ocean Project” Southern Falcons Basketball Team for four consecutive years. Based in Yujing, Tainan, the team recruits 20 junior high school students from underprivileged families, providing them with systematic training and opportunities for growth.

After four years of dedication and hard work, the Southern Falcons achieved their best result this August—winning fourth place in the World Vision National Basketball Tournament, competing against 16 teams and more than 300 young athletes from across Taiwan.

The Basketball Ocean Project was launched by World Vision in 2022 to inspire young lives through sports. To date, 16 teams have been established nationwide. GFC sponsors the Tainan team, providing annual funding for training, equipment, and uniforms, while also working with local coaches to create a supportive learning and growth community. Additionally, World Vision introduces professional guest coaches and the EMPOWER Training System, enabling young players to develop not only their athletic skills but also their academics, character, and teamwork.

The Southern Falcons have finally defeated many players and secured fourth place.
