"Elevator Installation Practical Challenge" Held for GFC Scholarship Recipients
The GFC Foundation hosted the 12th GFC Scholarship Meetup on December 6th and 7th. This year’s event integrated GFC’s professional training courses with hands-on engineering experience, inviting 40 scholarship recipients to the Education and Training Center to participate in the "Elevator Installation Practical Challenge." Students worked in teams to design elevator solutions for various architectural themes, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore the core technologies of the elevator industry alongside their financial awards.
Through hands-on operation and problem-solving, students gained a deep understanding of the importance of control logic, mechanical integration, and safety design. Many participants expressed that seeing the internal structure and operation of an elevator for the first time was both eye-opening and rewarding, sparking a newfound interest in the field of elevator engineering.
Since its inception in 2022, the GFC Scholarship has supported 414 individuals, with total grants exceeding NT$20 million, serving as a vital pillar of support for outstanding students from underprivileged backgrounds. Beyond financial aid, the GFC Foundation hosts these meetups to facilitate cross-school networking and encourage young people to explore their future career paths.
