Emergency Relief Packages Donated by the Foundation
With the increasing frequency of global disasters due to climate change, and amid ongoing military intimidation from across the strait through aircraft and naval activity over the years, preparations for emergencies are crucial. The Tang Te-Chin Foundation funded and procured emergency relief kits for all GFC’s employees, board members, and associated organizations to help ensure readiness in times of crisis.
The relief kits come in waterproof backpacks, which can also serve as flotation devices in emergencies. They contain various essential items for household use, though families are advised to add their own water, food, toiletries, and clothing as needed.
The Tang Te-Chin Foundation was established by GFC’s founder, Mr. Tang Sung-Chang, using personal and family funds in memory of his ancestor, Tang Te-Chin. The foundation has frequently partnered with GFC and the Cultural and Educational Foundation to donate to disaster victims in Taiwan and abroad (refer to ESG reports on this website for details). GFC and its affiliated foundations hope this initiative will remind everyone that even in a comfortable and secure environment, one must remain vigilant and always be prepared for the unexpected.
