GFC pledges all elevators with PMSM motors to reduce carbon emissions
After two years of preparation, when the market was still using traditional gear-type elevator traction machines, which are cheaper but more energy-consuming, GFC was the first in the industry to sell all elevators with permanent magnet synchronous (PMSM) traction machines. It is expected that in five years (2021), there will be about 10,000 PMSM elevators in operation, saving about 17,622,900 kWh of electricity per year compared to conventional drive elevators, which is equivalent to 8,847 tons of CO2 emissions, or about the annual carbon adsorption capacity of 23 Daan Forest Park. To do our part to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
(Note: In the same year, Taiwan's 13 meteorological stations measured the national average temperature of 24.4°C, 0.77°C higher than the previous average of 23.63°C, and surpassed the 1998 average of 24.39°C, making it the warmest year on Taiwan's meteorological record.)
