"The 4th WBSC U23 World Cup Baseball Championship" was hosted by Taiwan for the first time this year (2022), and it was also the first time that GFC sponsored the tournament, hoping that Taiwan players would have more home field advantage. The game was held from October 13 at the Taipei Tianmu and Taichung Stadiums. Teams from 12 countries around the world were divided into two groups, and Taiwan won all five games in Group A .

After 10 days of fierce competition and heavy rain, the top four teams played the final on the closing day, October 23, and the third place match was won by Taiwan and Japan beat Korea to capture their second won cup over Korea.
