GFC certified as an Excellent Supplier of Green and Smart Buildings
The 18 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Taiwan as announced by the Executive Yuan include the core goal of constructing inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable cities and villages, with key indicators such as the energy-saving and carbon reduction benefits of buildings.
The Taipei City Government has been providing subsidies for the green and smart building improvement projects of existing buildings in the city since 2016, aiming to create a sustainable living environment that is energy-efficient, healthy, convenient, and safe through the collaboration of public and private sectors. GFC has actively promoted the replacement of old elevators in buildings to significantly reduce power consumption, using two major elevator energy-saving tools: PM permanent magnet motors and regenerative power systems, which together transform existing buildings into sustainable green buildings.
The Asia Trade Center Building, located in Taipei's Songshan District, is a 40-year-old mixed-use building for offices and residences. With the professional planning of GFC's engineering team, the building has received subsidies from the Taipei City Government and has been recognized as a demonstration community for the "Green and Smart Building Improvement Project for Existing Community Buildings". To promote this policy, GFC also assisted in the production of a promotional video (link below).
