Taiwan, after a 10-year hiatus, once again successfully bid to host the 31st U18 Baseball World Cup in 2023. GFC, after sponsoring the U12 event, extended our support to the U18 competition as well. These exciting matches took place in Taichung Intercontinental and Tianmu, Taipei. Team Taiwan, in both the preliminary rounds and the super round-robin, lived up to expectations with an impressive 8-game winning streak, making a strong bid for the championship. On September 10th, amidst the cheers of a packed audience at Tianmu, Taipei, the team of Taiwan suffered their first defeat after eight consecutive victories. In the end, they narrowly missed keeping the championship in Taiwan, settling for second place, while Japan achieved its first-ever championship in the tournament's history.
