Sponsoring the Asian Baseball Championship: Witnessing the Debut of Taipei Dome

GFC sponsored the 30th Asian Baseball Championship, the match between Taiwan and Korea, this marked the inaugural official game at the Taipei Dome. The enthusiastic audience, in the brand-new indoor space, cheered and celebrated, expressing their satisfaction with the stadium. Taiwan emerged victorious with a 4-0 win over the Korean team.

In the Super Round, the group champions, Chinese Taipei, faced Japan. The opening pitch of this game was thrown by GFC’s CEO, Ben Yu, making him the first ordinary citizen to throw the opening pitch at the Taipei Dome, second only to the special appearance of Wang Chen-chih. After the game, CEO Yu presented the Best Fastball Award to Taiwan's pitcher Sun Yi-lei, acknowledging his 157 km/h fastball in the 7th inning.
